Just before the sunrise
Yes, just before the dawn
I drift upon my thoughts
My feelings and I become one

Waiting with anticipation
Of a new day about to begin
I thank God, for all He's done
I pray to Him

I watch the sun come up
It's like His understanding eye
Looking down on me
Just God and I

A soft breeze He sends
My thoughts drift along
It's His way of letting me know He's there
And giving me the courage to be strong

A moment like no other
I would never want to miss
The sun finally reaches above the horizon
Each ray comes down and touches me...
Like a warm, loving kiss
