God must have some
favorite colors,
I'm sure one of them is blue.
For as we look toward Heaven,
we see every shade and hue.
And green must be very special,
just look around in May.
It's as if the green says Go,
to usher in a summers day.
God knows we need the soft gray,
in the clouds, that bring the rain,
to satisfy the thirsty fields,
and gently tap the window pane.
I know He loves to send us flowers,
And I'm sure He loves them too.
He planted them in fields and meadows,
where they multiplied and grew.
In Fall God floods the country side,
with many colors to remember,
As we start to miss the growing things,
In the short dark days of December.
Even when the snow grows deep,
God winks His eye and sends,
the flash of bright red cardinals,
And blue jays to be our friends.
But a sunset, now, there's something else,
who can describe it right?
No one but God can make it so.
A touch of beauty before the night.
There's nothing like a morning,
in a kitchen filled with sun.
Please color this day with sunshine, Lord.
We'll pass it on, till day is done.
