Oh Lord, I want to live it all
With You, now as my breath,
My life, as You, the essence yet
Of all I am confessed.
I cannot have a separate You
A portion, e'er segmented part,
For You God, are my Spirit, soul
The beating of my heart.
I will not call You only when
My life is filled with need,
I will not pray at dawn alone
But in every breath I breathe.
No more distracted in the fair
Of life's long circus ride,
For You are now my life within
Not, just a friend beside.
You gave Your all, You died for me
To have my life re-newed,
So all I want, absorb, adore
Will be the same as You.
I cannot love, but what is Thine
When your Spirit is in me,
And You seat me there with You above
Right now, eternally.
Yet, dear Lord, I need much trust
While You take all that is loss,
To fill me with the hope and joy
You whispered from the cross.
What joy, dear Father, how You love
And hold my heart in Thine,
To keep me ever in Your hand
You placed Your life in mine.
I thank You so, My Saviour, Lord
My sin, You took in death,
You gave me life, Your Spirit, love
My heart is ever blessed.
