If God put you in my life today
For the season of His choice,
Then I shall cherish all your sunshine
While I can hear your voice.

For I will never know the time
When you may disappear from view,
So I will lap up every morsel
Every facet that is you.

I shall laugh then at your cuteness
Or cry for your tears,
Delight in your uniqueness
And be grateful you are near.

I will listen when you are lonely
Pray for you to glow every day,
Be loyal to your heart
And encourage all you say.

I will share with you our dreams
Reveal my inner self,
Walk in all your musings
And care about your health.

Then if you are taken far away
I will be left with all your warmth to keep,
Your beauty, mine to cherish forever
As I softly weep.
