I choose my friends
By words they say
The hopes and dreams
We share each day.
My heart is full
Of happiness you see
As each message is shared
From you to me.
Sometimes we are happy
And sometimes blue
Yet when that happens
We know what to do.
We listen and hear
What each has to say
Words that always help us
Have a better day.
Back and forth
We always write
Sharing each other's
Daily plight.
When day is done
We're at our rest
For each of us know
We did our best.
Friends together
We'll always be
Sharing and caring
You and me.
Like a beautiful rose
So perfect and true
This poem I send
From me to you.
