A winter stroll by a
frozen creek
Little footprints
playing hide and seek.
A slight chill forms in
the air
And the snow lays
everywhere.
A hush of silence all
around
As the snow comes
tumbling down.
As your breath forms a
smoky cloud
You see the buck
standing, tall and
proud.
He stands as frozen as the
pine trees
Listening for sounds, so
confidently.
You stand as frozen as
the water on the creek
Behind the stillness,
you stand and peek.
Then he turns and runs
away
On this cloudy, snow
day.
But this day lives
forever in your memory
A winter stroll in
tranquility.
