Teddy bears don't need hearts
'cuz they're already stuffed with love

I walked into a house one day
A home of a very good friend
I was feeling kind of down and out
She said,
"Here, I have something to lend"
She left the room
returning with a Teddy Bear
Then she handed it to me...
I just looked at her...
with a stare
"Why are you lending me this bear?"
With a smile on her face
She began to say,
"If more Teddy Bears
were in people's lives...
Things would not be in such disarray"
Then I followed her down the hall
Oh, my goodness...
Do you know what I found
Teddy Bears on a sofa and on the chairs
on the floor and shelves...
There were Teddy Bears all around
Some were dressed as doctors
She had one that was a nurse
One looked like a queen
Another, dressed for the opera
carrying a beaded purse
She is what you would call a
"Teddy Bear Collector"
She bought only one...
One time...
Then the Teddy Bear bug infected her
But, this is her reasoning...
When she is weighed down
with the darkest of gloom
She simply goes right
into her Teddy Bear room
She looks at each one
sitting here and there
With their little personalities
And soon, she has not a care
Soooooooooo...
I'm looking at this bear for a while
And you know what?
She was right...
All of a sudden I had to smile
Maybe this is something
we all should do...
Sitting in one very special place
We could have a Teddy Bear or two
