My Life Has Just Begun ~ Denise Lanford ~ Living Each Day

My child, my life has just begun,
though you'll miss me with each new sun.
My journey here on earth was through,
I had to leave, including you.

I'd run the race, and it was done,
and now, my life has just begun.
I know you will feel sorrow for me,
but you know where I'll spend eternity.

Keep the faith, follow God's will.
For in your heart, I'm with you still.
You've made me so proud of you,
and God is pleased with you too.

Hardships and trials you've overcome,
and someday too, you'll travel home.
I'll be there, together we'll sing
Heavenly praises to our King.

My child, continue to guard your soul,
whatever you endure, God is in control.
Your great loss was Heaven's gain.
I'm in a place that's free of pain.

No more sorrows here for me,
you know where I'll spend eternity.
I'm in paradise with God's Son,
and child, life has just begun.
