When things go topsy turvy
As they often times do
When the path is too hard
And so long for you,
When the resources run dry
And the needs reach the sky
You long for a smile
But all you hear is a sigh
When it all feels too much
Then cry and feel sad
But just for a bit,
For now's not the time
To sit down and quit.

For the victory in life's toil
Is just the sad inside out,
The sun in the cloud
Will banish the doubt,
Can life be half empty
And all so washed up
No, if you look
It's still a full cup.

For you never can be sure
What gold is in store
There's nothing to fear
When God's blessing is near
Oh how close you are
Though it feels very far
Just now trust His care
For how dear you are,
Nothing can happen
That Jesus can't fix
So lean hard on Him
He never quits.
