Lord, right now I feel like I am a cocoon,
You are shaping me, molding me and changing me.
I know that You are giving me life anew.
So when it is finished I can glorify You.

Take my life Lord, please shape and mold it,
Use this metamorphous to cleanse my soul.
There is more pain there than I ever knew,
Continue this change and do what you need to do.

Like the butterfly waiting to be released,
Keep me here until Your work is finished.
When I moan and cry and say, "take it away!"
Remind me Lord, You're the potter, I'm the clay.

Let me rest in Your peace and feel Your love,
Give me patience as You work on my life.
So one day a beautiful butterfly will be free,
You will use me for others and to magnify Thee.
