Lord, how ever could we not be glad
When of such fragile breath
That You would deem Your life to give
To be our truest friend
How then not overflow with gratitude
When worry overwhelms
As with Your love You grant the peace
Our every fear to quell
No toil too great, no ask too small
In all our ways You live
We can be weak, for You are strong
And long Your gifts to give
If we but bear a grateful heart
As we present our plea
Your ear e'er bends, Your love replies
When simple faith You see
Our good You hold as uppermost
No anger blocks Your hand
Your heart is love, compassion, kind
All need You understand
Soft thankful whispers from
