Be it near or far apart
You are the hope within my heart
Like the finest pearl, pristine to view
A rare kind of friendship I share with you.

Someone I admire and look up to
A loving friend so honest and true
So wise, kind, thoughtful and sweet
Another could never quite compete.

We walk together hand and hand
Many thoughts we share and understand
You have lifted me up in all that I do
And now it is my turn to lift up you.

Thank you for all the time you give
I'll never forget as long as I live
Like a pearl you're the finest by far
A treasured friend is what you are.
