God loves the angels of the world,
Every mother's child boy or girl
And the very least we must do
Is love and nurture them too.

Set children a righteous example
Your opportunities are ample,
From birth till they are grown
We have morals to be shown.

Teach them of the Redeemer Jesus
Who protects and loves all of us,
Hold them in the shield of His might
For He is their sentry day and night.

Teach them to read the Bible's word
And when praying their voice is heard,
That God hears each and every prayer
And loves little children everywhere.

Talk to them of God's divine glory
As you read to them a Bible story,
Speak with them of God's eternal love
And a paradise in Heaven above.

We must teach them how to pray
So they enter Heaven someday,
Ever guide them from wrong to right
And kneel in prayer with them at night.

Take them to church when we go
Sowing seeds of religion to grow,
Giving them the fellowship of others,
Their Christian sisters and brothers.

Stone by stone build a foundation
On God's word through education,
From that creation they will thrive
And by God's grace eternally survive.

Protect children your life through
Watch over what they say or do,
When grown they may go astray
But they'll return to God one day,
If we've taught them the way.
