There are a thousand hurting people who cross our path each
day.
Each one is crying out for help in their own despondent way.
We have the homeless, the addicted, the beaten and abused.
The victims who are innocent, and others who have been accused.

Each one needs a different kind of
help to see them through
A helpful hand, someone to listen, some one to show them what to do.
All of them need a friend, to help them up when they are down.
And each of us can tell them about the friend we've found.

They need to find the peace that you and I can feel inside.
So when disaster comes their way, they won't need to run and hide.
They need to see the hope that shines so bright for us to see.
So when the darkness falls on them, they'll know it doesn't have to be.

Shouldn't we bring them to Jesus, for they are His children too?
He wants to help them with their trials, like He did for me and you.
He shines His light in all of us, so the lost will come to Him.
He wants them to live free again by removing all their sin.

Some time today in your busy life, will you think about the lost?
Will you talk with them, pray for them, lead them to the cross?
Maybe no one has ever told them that Jesus died to set them free.
But that is the great mission that He gave you and me.
