There is a chair
within my room
That may seem unoccupied
But I know the Lord is resting there
Close by at my side

I can see His
kind and loving face
No matter rain or shine
He is always sharing with me
In whispers soft, divine

My chairs may
appear quite vacant
With no-one ever near
But my Jesus stays here with me
I have no need of fear

I know He's
walking with me
As I move from room to room
For He promised to go with me
To scatter every gloom

And anywhere I
settle
Then on another comfy chair
My friend, my confidante, my Lord
Sits with me everywhere
